Usually vases are narrow and tall, so Väyliö wanted to use those elements in another way around: she created a Milos vase which is wide and low. Asymmetry in glassblowing fascinates designer Väyliö and you can see that in Milos vase.
The name for the vase was born when Väyliö was walking by the beach of Milos and she saw beautiful round rocks over there. Abrasion causes rocks to grind down and become rounder. Milos vase is praising the beauty of the nature!
